Frequently asked questions
What counts as a class?
A class is a group of up to 35 pupils who use Social Sandbox together with their teacher. If a group is bigger than 35, it counts as two classes.
When does a subscription start and end?
Subscriptions follow the academic year, from 1 September to 31 August. If you join part-way through the year, we’ll reduce the price for the months left.
Are prices before VAT?
Yes. All prices are shown before VAT, which is added to your invoice.
How do we pay?
We send an invoice to your finance contact, with 30 days to pay by bank transfer. Add your purchase order number when you order and we’ll include it.
What happens after our free trial?
When your trial ends, your account is paused until you subscribe. Subscribe within 60 days and you keep all your classes, pupil codes and session reports. If you don’t, we delete your school’s trial data to protect your pupils.
Can more than one teacher use it?
Yes. Every teacher in your school can have their own account. There’s no limit on staff or sessions: you pay for each class that uses it.
Which year groups is it for?
Social Sandbox is designed for Years 5 to 8. Each scenario pack shows the year groups it suits.
How to order
- Once Social Sandbox launches, email [email protected] with your school’s name, URN and how many classes will use it.
- We send your invoice and set up your school’s account. If you’ve had a trial, everything you’ve set up carries over.
- Your school admin gets an email to sign in, and can add colleagues straight away.
