EYFS - Early Coding Sessions
Children will be introduced to simple cause and effect and begin to explore early coding through a range of programmable toys

Bee-Bots & Blue-Bots are child-friendly, floor-robot companions designed specifically for early learners. Featuring an intuitive button layout (Forward, Back, Left, Right) and a playful, tactile design, they introduce young pupils to positional language, directional awareness, and basic sequencing without the need for screens. Blue-Bots add Bluetooth capability, allowing children to progress seamlessly from physical button-pressing to simple tablet-based block coding.
What the session could include
- Classroom Activities
- EYFS (Early Years):
- Targeted Small-Group Discovery: Guided, small-group sessions introducing foundational directional language (forward, back, turn left, turn right) and one-to-one counting through hands-on button pressing.
- Storytelling & Map Navigation: Navigating robots across colorful thematic floor mats (such as nursery rhymes, fairy tales, or community maps) to bring storytelling to life and encourage early spoken language and collaboration.
- Play-Based Route Building: Designing physical pathways and obstacles using blocks or tape, encouraging pupils to predict, test, and debug simple sequences of movements together in small groups.
