UKS2 - Robotic Sessions (Lego Spike Prime)
Pupils will use a range of kits to build robots and control them using coding through a range of apps. Completing challenges and tasks throughout the day using the skills they have gained.

LEGO SPIKE Prime is a hands-on STEAM learning system that uses complex LEGO Technic elements, a 6-port programmable Hub, advanced sensors, and Scratch or Python coding to engage learners in solving real-world engineering, data analysis, and robotics challenges.
With a select number of these specialised kits available, they provide an ideal resource for targeted, small-group extension sessions, allowing for focused mentoring to rapidly advance pupils' coding and engineering skills.
What the session could include
- Classroom Activities will include:
- Small-Group Extension & Mentoring:
- Focused, small-group sessions tailored to pupils' individual skill levels, allowing for direct mentoring that rapidly advances coding ability, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Advanced Engineering Challenges: Designing, building, and programming autonomous robots and automated prototypes to solve real-world problems.
- Data & Text-Based Coding: Utilizing advanced sensors and data analysis to progress pupils from visual block-based programming toward text-based Python code.
