About the event
Join The Equilibrium Project for a supportive online workshop designed for parents of children aged 5–15. As young people spend more time online, many parents feel concerned about the content they encounter and the impact it might have.
From social media pressures, confusing messages about body image and gender stereotypes to concerns about exposure of sexusalised language and content or mysoginistic attitudes, this session will inform you of key risks to your child. However, our sessions move away from "scare tactics" instead we help you understand the digital landscape your child navigates daily.
In this session we will explore how social media actually works and the online content it delivers to our children. We will explore how online experiences can shape a child’s views, attitudes and behaviour and you will learn some simple steps for helping your child think more critically about the things they see and hear online.
